Welcome to Mrs. Noel's Class

I am so excited about having you as a part of my class. This is my 13th year of teaching. I am thrilled to be a part of Huffman ISD. This is my second year in the district.  I taught 2nd grade last year at CES.
I was raised in a small town, about an hour away, Batson, TX. My entire immediate family still resides in my hometown. My father was relocated to Batson when I was 18 months-old. I was extremely fortunate to attend a small school.   I attended school from K-12 at West Hardin CCISD.   I loved the small school environment so much that we moved our family to Huffman.
I graduated from Lamar University as Summa Kum Laude and Top Graduating Female in May 2004. My family and I have lived in Huffman for the past 4 years.  My husband, Adam, and I have 3 boys (Austin- Junior, Trevor- 7th grade, A.J.- 1st grade).
In May of 2015, we completed a 2 year project of designing and building our new home.  I started working on my master's degree in August 2016 for Curriculum and Instruction in Math.  I applying the new strategies that I am learning about in my classroom.
Please check my DoJo story for daily communication, regularly for updated calendars, forms, supply lists, and other information.

I hope that you are ready to become my best friend!!
This is my primary form of contact with parents.  I love this app.  It allows me to share events, unclear homework clarifications, special celebrations.  It will also translate any typed messages.  I can instant message you, and you are allowed to see your child's INSTANT behavior marks.  I prefer using Class DoJo over a daily folder because of the instant communication property.

Wishlist 16-17 and Other info

If you did not get to purchase your child's school supplies, you may feel free to opt out of purchasing the construction paper because I have a plentiful supply of this particular item.  There is no great hurry on these items.  You may just see them one day on sale or think to pick them up as you please.  Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!  Pencils and binders are the primary needed supplies.
Thank you for making our school year a great one!!
